On 08 August 2000 Aditya Institute of Technology became an Institutional Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), the largest body of academicians and professionals in the country. Also, Prof. Moin Uddin, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Delhi Technological University, Govt. of Delhi inaugurated ISTE Students Chapter at Aditya Institute of Technology on 09-04-2011.
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education" in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers, technicians and managers required by the industries and other organizations. The other objectives are to develop effective teachers & educational administrators, to enhance professional ideals & standards, to foster research as a function complementary to teaching, to bring about effective linkage between technical institutions industry & society.
ISTE DAY – 2011
Prof. Moin Uddin delivered the inaugural address on the theme “Role of Technical Education for Empowering the Society”. He elaborately enlightened the students and faculty the need based development of technology for empowering the society. Being, an Indian we all should ensure that the application of the technology must adhere to the need, requirement and utility in the life of a common man.
The ISTE Student Chapter at Aditya Institute of Technology will provide a platform for all students to come together for technical interaction and share their ideas about latest technological developments around the world.
ISTE DAY – 2012
Aditya Institute of Technology, New Delhi & ISTE Delhi Section celebrated ISTE Day 2012 at National Science Centre Auditorium, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 22-04-2012. The theme for the ISTE Day 2012 was the Role of Technical Education in National Development.
Dr. S. S. Murthy, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi was the Chief Guest and Dr. Rajeev Kapoor, Professor & Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Delhi Technological University, Delhi was the Guest of Honour. Other eminent dignitaries and honoured guests Shri Davendra Kumar Gupta, Founder-cum-Chairman, RNG Group of Institutions, Shri N. K. Gupta, Former Director, Aditya Institute of Technology & Executive Council Member of ISTE & Dr. Tanvir Ahmad Abbasi, HOD, University Polytechnic, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi and Hon. Treasurer cum secretary, ISTE Delhi Section were present on the dais.

Prof. Syed Mohammad Rashid, Pro Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Dr. R. Murugesan, President, Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi was the Presiding Officer. According to a ritual and convention, the holy lamp was lighted by the Chief Guest followed by Sarswati Vandana (the goddess of wisdom and knowledge) who inaugurated the function.
